Besana Group’s significant investments in Central Asia

The agricultural engagement of Besana Group started more than 3 years ago in Eastern Europe and was successively and quickly extended to Central Asian countries and is now advancing fast.

The aim is to support growers in converting their cereal or fruit production to nut cultivation. Besana International Ltd, the agricultural branch of Besana Group, provides certified plants and technical equipment in long term agreements.

The actual focus of expansion and intensification of this project activity is Kazakhstan where the Besana initiative has inspired the local media. Besana participating to the Inauguration of the Vinichio Valley in Georgia

On 22nd April 2017 Pino Calcagni has been invited as a special guest to the Ceremony of Inauguration of the ‘Vinichio Valley’ in Georgia, created by the ARIC Group.

A huge territory will host a pistachio orchard, a totally new reality in Georgia, country with a big number of (wild) pistachio trees but without the mentality of cultivation.

A particular detail of the event: Every guest had the opportunity to plant a tree receiving a personal code to be able to follow the growth of the own tree.

Of course Pino Calcagni has planted “his” tree and has handed over a Besana congratulation plate, as you see in the photo (together with Afzal Ravari, President of ARIC Group).

Numerous State authorities have attended the ceremony and have evidenced the importance of such initiative before the numerous international invitees.
